In part to the tribute of the new year and the other, to healing. I was challenged with doing a "Gratitude Journal" for two weeks. The task, to write a minimum of three things I am grateful for. Today, will be my first entry and I hope that I can post for the next two weeks...I mean I WILL post for the minimum of two weeks!!!
1. Diet Dr. Pepper - 23 FABULOUS FLAVORS - Zero calories! Every time I see the TV ad "Everyone Knows Your Name" I stop and pay tribute...it is my weakness, my go to drink if I need a quick pick-me-up or just a thirst quencher!
2. New babies - it's the beginning of life. "We come out of the womb experiencing life through our feelings. They are primary to our human experience and awaken us to our hearts." - from The Voice of the Heart, by Chip Dodd. When you hold a new baby you feel your heart feeling and the sweetness of a new heart and you see what the adult human heart is capable of producing. They cry for their needs and just a diaper change, food and a warm body to hold them makes them happy (even if it's only for a few minutes).
3. Runner's World, helping me get motivated to train for Seattle Rock n Roll 1/2 Marathon or Mayor's 1/2 Marathon...we'll see, but the magazine is a great tool for inspiration, training tips, food recipes and overall cross training ideas!!!
